Faux Wood and Composite Doors for Las Vegas Homes
The Short Answer
Modern wood look doors are convincing from the street and need almost no care. They are built on insulated steel cores, so you get the comfort benefits too. For most Valley homes that want the wood look, this is the door we recommend.

Built for Exactly This Climate
These doors were practically invented for the desert problem. Buyers love timber warmth but have watched neighbors sand and restain real wood every third summer. Composite cladding over insulated steel does not crack, split, or warp, and its colors fade slowly and evenly.
In our installs across Summerlin, Anthem, and Lake Las Vegas, these have become the default wood door.
How Convincing Are They Really
From the street, extremely. Molded grain, plank lines, and multi tone finishes read as real timber from ten feet away. Up close and to the touch, composite reads as composite. That is the trade. Ninety five percent of the look, five percent of the maintenance, and a finish warranty real wood can never offer.
Choosing Among the Options
There are three tiers. Wood grain textured steel with printed finishes is the most affordable and looks great at a distance. Composite overlay doors add molded planks over insulated cores and hit the sweet spot. Full composite clad designs have the deepest texture and the highest price.
The right answer is the tier where your eye stops caring at your driveway's viewing distance. We bring samples.

Common Questions
Do faux wood finishes fade in our sun?
Slowly and evenly. Factory finishes carry warranties that stain never gets. West facing doors fade fastest and even they hold a decade or more. Compare that to restaining real wood every few years.
Are composite doors insulated?
The good ones are built on insulated cores, so you get the comfort and quiet of a premium steel door wearing the wood costume. We only sell them insulated.
What do they cost versus real wood?
Usually a third to half the price of comparable real wood, with almost no upkeep spend after. On total cost of ownership it is not close. That is why we sell twenty of these for every real wood door.
