Less than most people expect. Every sectional door in this valley lifts on the same kind of hardware. Torsion springs on a bar above the opening, cables to the bottom brackets, rollers in a track, hinges between the sections. Those parts wear the same way whoever stamped the panel.
The brand matters in three places, and they are worth knowing before you call.
Replacement sections
A damaged panel has to be matched to a design that is still made. This is the one repair where the maker and the model really decide the answer. We check availability before you commit to anything.
Opener parts and programming
Gears, boards, sensors, and remote codes are specific to the maker and often to the generation. A LiftMaster gear kit does not fit a Genie. Matching the part to the unit is most of the job.
Roll up curtains
On a storage or commercial roll up door the curtain profile and the color are the brand specific parts. The drum, the spring, and the guides are more universal.
Do Not See Your Brand?
Call anyway. We work on every sectional and roll up door in this valley, including doors with no readable label left on them. When the label has faded off we weigh the door and read the spring itself, which gives us the right replacement without a model number.
